Weigh-In Week One – Pushing One Day at a Time – Results
My first week weigh in…..drumroll, please……
If I am honest with you I was a little disappointed because I wanted a 10lb weight loss. I know, I know unrealistic. but I still wanted it. I know I sound like a spoiled brat!
After a few minutes of sulking, I was very proud of myself. 6.8 pounds is nothing to sulk about. Here are some of my non-scale victories.
- joined a gym and went for 6 days when I planned for 5 days.
- finished all of my workouts even when I was tired and just didn’t feel like it.
- didn’t deprive myself of anything I really wanted. I just used moderation.
- am sitting here at Chick-Fil-A not eating anything because I had my breakfast already but my kids wanted to play and I needed to write this post.
My journey is off to a great start. The first week is often the toughest and I conquered it. Even with a holiday and brunch with friends.
Next week, I will keep the same goals, eating in moderation while making healthy choices and exercising 5 days a week. I am also going to continue tracking my food. That has been a big help. There are many times when I don’t think all of the little things I want to eat add up but they do. Very quickly.
Message For Those Starting Out
My message for anyone starting out on this journey. Keep at it. Even when you think you can’t you can. Even though it’s only been one week for me, I faced challenges that I would have used for excuses for giving up. If you mess up, just get right back on the wagon again. Don’t wait until the next week or the next day. Start with that next meal.
One day at a time, one step at a time. You can do it. We can do it.
If at first you don’t succeed-try, try again right?- make an image?
All we can do is learn from my mistakes and keep moving forward.
